Weeks 11/12

Whoops!

Forgot to do a post last week… what did I accomplish??

Almost halfway through the freeCodeCamp intermediate algorithm challenges. Some of them have been pretty tricky, but others haven’t taken that much and my answers have often very closely matched the provided answers, so that’s encouraging.

I’ve also worked through a few of the Javascript30 projects, which have been good exercise.

Dipping my toes into React

I’ve also started looking a little more into React. I feel like I’ve got a lot to learn in vanilla JS land, but I’m getting the impression React is a big subject so I felt like I might get a bit of a jump start on it.

Flashcards app

I also started a little note-learning flashcards project. My son recently turned 5 and he’s been taking more of an interest in learning music, so I thought this might be a good project to start. For now it will just test the notes in the treble clef between C4 and G5. You will be able to enter answers via keyboard or by clicking the options on the screen.
