Week 3

My Tax Calculator

I’ve got my tax calculator in working order. All the calculations are working as expected, I just have to finish the styling. I will make a point of using SASS and flexbox. It’s a small project and I probably don’t need to, but those are two skills I never picked up in the past.

I also need to look into form validation.

freeCodeCamp

I finished the first section, “Javascript Basics”, in the Javascript Algorithms and Data Structures Certification course. It was mostly pretty, well, basic, but there were a couple of tricky recursion exercises at the end. I needed a little hint from the help files on the second to last exercise, but got the last one with out any cheats.

I’m liking the freeCodeAcademy exercises, but boy are they low on explanation. But there’s plenty of other stuff out there to fill in the gaps.
